Snow Clearing For Your Sleigh-Ride

Snow falls gently toward the ground as you are cruising through the near empty streets, night quickly overtaking the shortness of the day. Everywhere you look Christmas decorations begin to flicker on, and all the stores have promises for the biggest sales of the year, but regardless of the mystical lights and the assistance they offer, focus must be kept squarely on the road. The view outside may be a winter wonderland, but the beauty of it all can be deceiving. Despite the merriment and cheer of the season, driving in the cold months of the holidays is dangerous. The once powdery snow can rest thickly upon the road like a mountain of cement and ice will form atop the pavement like an invisible sheet of glass, posing problems of varying degrees for drivers and their families. The beautiful and twinkling ornaments that garnish the streets and buildings can do little to illuminate the dangers of the ice, and for all the joy and cheer the season has, none of it can be fully enjoyed due to the slippery hazard of the roads. Every turn there is a possibility of swerving or crashing, and no one wants to spend the joyfulness of the holidays in the hospital or worse, so make sure to keep aware when driving and stay home if necessary.

To aid in the safety of the drivers and families of their town, Leesburg, Virginia is requesting services for snow and ice removal for the upcoming winter season. The town, located a little bit outside of Washington D.C., usually gets around 24 inches of annual snowfall, and of course are subject to severe snow or ice storms. However, they are efficient at clearing up the hazards, and expect the contractors to be the same. The town will provide materials such as sand, salt, and brine to assist in the clearing and also reserve the right to perform all, part, or none of the work. The job of the contractor entails being able to provide all labor and equipment necessary to clear snow and ice from Town-owned property, public streets and rights-of-way and all incidentals related thereto.

The contractors main job is to assist in the clearing of snow and ice, and to be able to provide the tools necessary to accomplish the task. The Town itself will be there to assist if needed, but there are a lot of places that need treatment. If interested, click on the link for more information.
